Biography
Mukta Rao was born in Chirawa, Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan. She is 40 Years old (as in July 2021). Mahendra Singh Rao is her father who is a businessman. Her grandfather Rakshpal Singh Chaudhary was a freedom fighter. She has a sister whose name is Dr Nisha Rao Dhankhad. She completed her school from Dalmiya Girls school, Chirawa, Rajasthan. After completing school she graduated from Chirawa and for post-graduation, she went to Jaipur. After completing her education, in 2007 she married Dr Vijaypal Singh who is the Head of the Department of Computer Science at Manipal University Jaipur. Bhavani Singh is her Father in law. She has a son Ojus who is 10 years old.
After marriage, she worked in an IT company for 10 years and after she left the job. In 2015, she attempted the NET examination. The result was unbelievable, she got 3rd Rank in all India. This big success gave her a huge motivation and also her husband and father in law supported her for the civil service examination. Her great inspiration is her grandfather who was a freedom fighter and she wanted to do something for the country this she decided to prepare for the civil service examination. Her father in law gave him full freedom to prepare for the civil service examination. She got full support from the whole family. In the 2018 RAS exam, she was the topper. This was her second attempt. Also, her sister’s husband cleared this examination.
Success Story
After leaving the job she wanted to do something for the country like her grandfather (a freedom fighter). Her husband and father in law always motivated her and they used to say that she should try Civil Service, she is made for it. To test herself she participated in the 2015 NET examination and she got All India rank 3, it boosted her motivation and her husband and father in law’s support motivated her to prepare for the civil service examination. Her father in law gave her full freedom to prepare for the civil service examination.
She was fully motivated and started preparing for the civil service examination. In 2016, the first time she attempted the RAS examination but the result was not that good, she got 848th Rank. She didn’t lose hope and attempted again in 2018 and this time she topped the examination. She became the 2018 RAS exam topper.
Career
After her post-graduation, she started working at an IT company as a software engineer. She was getting a good salary but after working for 10 years she left the job. After leaving this job she started preparing for RAS and in her second attempt, she topped the examination.
